During the summer of 2002, I was basically living out of my car from pillar to post, with my baby while going through a divorce. The shelters turned us down. I had neither job nor home to call my own but thankfully some special people took us in each month. This is the time that I began to believe that I would be victorious! Instantly, I decided I was no longer a victim & I began believing the words the pastor said over my life. I started declaring daily “I am fearfully and wonderfully made” and “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Even though I was basically homeless, I believed this was part of God’s plan and somehow I was graced with more peace than I’d ever experienced in life.

I began to read motivational books and started listening to inspirational messages. I learned change starts with the mind and only wanted to feed my mind with positive thoughts. I also began serving others and stopped focusing on myself and my selfish desires. I was far from perfect nor living a “religious” sanctified lifestyle, but I had started to believe the best was in front of me. One of the wonderful ladies who took Kayla & me in during this time had a little girl with seizures. God had me to start interceding in prayer on behalf of that baby. One morning instantly the Holy Spirit put Benny Hinn in my spirit and something came over me and in the middle of us praying I shouted “we need to get this baby to Benny Hinn”! Now I was no saint and certainly no prayer warrior and always thought Benny Hinn was fake but something took over me in the middle of that prayer. We looked on the internet by faith to get this baby to the next Benny Hinn Crusade but there were none remotely close to Atlanta nor did we have the money to travel to another Country to get the baby to Benny Hinn. Within a few days, coming home from Wednesday night bible study from New Birth we saw a small Church down the road from the house which read “Benny Hinn Sunday at 7 pm”. I could not believe my eyes, God sent Benny Hinn to a church up the road from where we were staying. That Sunday night, Benny Hinn declared he had not been in a church that small for over 25 years (Isn’t God good? He sent Benny Hinn up the street to us!!!) We took the baby to that service and the child was healed of seizures from that night forward. We spoke healing and Benny Hinn and it manifested. More importantly had I never experienced homelessness, I would of missed my God ordained opportunity to pray, serve, and witness a miraculous healing! We have to learn it’s never about us but ALL ABOUT GOD’S WILL! I share my testimonies with you to encourage you and let you know that you are not alone. I get your emails and want you to know when all else fails God is FAITHFUL and will be there to see you through if you continue to trust in HIM. Today I know God’s power because I have trusted him when all else fails. The same God that rescued me and turned my life around then, keeps us today. No matter where you come from or what you have done God loves you and will see you through!
